The Gym shoe to Die for!
With the emergence of premium quality training shoes by Adidas, it has been dominating the market as of late. Adidas shoes came with a fresh look, new platform, tried and true features that make a great training shoe with the currently premium Adidas name.
Looks and Construction of shoes
Adidas gym shoes are unlike any other shoe out in the market at the moment. Compared to men’s, women’s model has the slightly more risqué design. But both of the models sport a rigid polyurethane overlay over fabric, however, women’s model is more pliable but flexes oddly in certain areas. Compared to that, men’s model is more rigid but still flexible but doesn’t have odd spots.
The overall look and profile of both the models are similar as they both have a 3mm drop, wider fit, and a flat, low to the ground platform. However, the main difference is that women’s model has more cushioning than men’s model. Both the models provide the strong grip on rubber and asphalt, however, the men’s shoes have a more aggressive pattern at the front of the shoe, rope grips in the middle of the shoe, and protrusions at the heel. But the women’s model is more flattened and well patterned. From the material it can be said that men’s model was made mainly for more varied, rugged surfaces whereas women’s model were made for hardwood or rubber flooring.
The last thing that varies in both the models is the tongue of the shoe. The women’s model has a more flat styled tongue which never sits right while the men’s model has a padded tongue which didn’t have this problem.
Both the models of Adidas gym shoes have a comfortable and good fit. However, the shoe is more on the wider side rather than narrow. Therefore it is not ideal for people with narrow feet. Also, the length of the show is pretty true to its size.
Traction is probably the strongest suit of Adidas. The outsole material grips everything excellently. Even when tested on the rope, there was no issue of the shoe slipping through the feet. It has a tread pattern which allows for good flexibility throughout the training along with softer insoles which also helps.
As the consoles are quite dense, power delivery was not a problem with these shoes. Here again, the major difference between the insole of the two model’s is that women’s insole is more cushioned. The platform of the show is pretty much same for both the models which make them excellent training shoes. However, it can be seen that more flexible and comfortable women’s model was made for a HIIT style workout, whereas the men’s was made more for heavier lifting and stability.

Both the models are just slightly different but are mainly same and they both perform well in their own way. But most people feel that men’s model is more superior one. Compared to other shoes in the market, Adidas gym shoes flex better, fit better and the insole is denser which makes them a great choice in the functional training market.
